  1. Steve gave me some breathtaking kisses in spring 1970 on a lawn at sunset on the Hermon campus.

  2. I had the priviledge of playing with Steve, quarterback, at NMH as his wide receiver and also I played cornerback next to Steve as safety. Ironically, the next four years we played against each other, Steve as a Safety at Cornell and me as a wide receiver at Harvard. Steve was a great athlete, vibrant and embraced life to the fullest. RIP Steve, Jeff Bone

  3. I remember what a great athlete Steve was at NMH and then at Cornell while I was at Ithaca College. He was a Solid defensive back for big red football When Ed Marinaro was the star running back. I watched lots of their games in ‘71 when they won the Ivy League and Marinaro rushed for 200 yds a game – a great Ivy League football team.
The next & last time I saw Steve was at our 45th and he had a very different Persona – somewhat gaunt and somber. He talked a great deal about his travels, his family growing up and seemed almost sad. So sorry it was the last time I would get to see him. Rest In Peace, Steve.
