Class Statistics

There are some interesting comparisons between the Class of 1970 at Northfield and Mount Hermon. An entering freshman at Northfield was far more likely to graduate as an entering freshman at Mount Hermon. The decision by students to attend college was virtually identical.

Of the 76 girls in the freshman Class of 1970, 55 — or 72 percent — would graduate.
Of the 73 boys in the freshman Class of 1970, 41 — or 56 percent — would graduate.
The 55 four-year girls represented 29% of the 192 graduates of the Class of 1970.
The 41 four-year boys represented 14% of the 214 graduates of the Class of 1970.
180 of the Northfield girls — or 94% — had plans for college after graduation.
203 of the Mount Hermon boys — or 95% — had plans for college after graduation.
